FromSoftware Job Listing May Have Confirmed The Studio's Next Game

Following on from the successful release of ,a recent job listing posted by beloved developer FromSoftware may hint at the studio's next major project. Having waited two years for the DLC to finally arrive, fans are already speculating on what could be next for the acclaimed team known for creating the «Soulslike» genre. While nothing has yet to be officially announced, it seems that FromSoftware could be returning to a previous franchise for its next big release, and mech enthusiasts will undoubtedly be pleased.

Per Game Rant, the aforementioned listing, which has now been deleted, noted that FromSoftware was actively looking to recruit a "" who would focus on "." Given that the post specifically calls out robots, the current hypothesis amongst the community is that either another is in development or a long-awaited expansion for could be in the works. Nothing has yet been confirmed so as is always with the case with reports and rumors, a pinch of salt is recommended.

Armored Core 6 is very different in nature from the Dark Souls game, but one FromSoft touch ties everything together in a memorable way.

While FromSoftware is arguably more known for its series and the subsequent spiritual successors like and, the studio originally cut its teeth with the series. Dating all the way back to the PlayStation One, many assumed that the rise of the Soulslike genre meant there was little room for the studio to return to giant mech battles. Fortunately, the launch of in 2023 proved audiences wrong as the game received glowing reviews from critics, veterans, and franchise newcomers.

Despite 's success, many were quick to request some kind of DLC package that expands on the game's mech customization system. There's already a wealth of parts to unlock and equip but building upon 's narrative while also including additional extras to make more outlandish mech suits would go a long way to satisfying the player base.
