FromSoft Devs Want Bloodborne On PC Just As Much As You Do

FromSoftware's launchedin 2015 and was highly praised for showcasing what the then-new PlayStation 4 was capable of during players' exploration of a blood-drenched gothic world. Surprisingly, it has remained one of the few major PlayStation exclusives of that generation not to be ported elsewhere, despite fan demand for a "" patch for the current PS5 console and a PC release.

Recently, asked FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki if he would personally like to see come to PC someday, considering other FromSoft titles such as and are available on the platform. Miyazaki acknowledged the other FromSoft colleagues sitting alongside him, Yasuhiro Kitao, and interpreter Bobby Simpson, stating, "" He then followed this up by saying that he'd ""

Sony Interactive Entertainment's former president, Jim Ryan, stated in May 2022 that half of PlayStation's first-party catalog could be on PC by 2025. So far, the company has stuck true to this plan, with games from the,,,, and series all being added to the platform over the years. The acclaimed 2020 samurai epic was the most recent title to launch on PC in May 2024.

Therefore, it seemed inevitable that would eventually come to PC, but alas, this has never materialized, leaving players expressing disappointment on several occasions after rumors had built up their hopes before various showcases or State of Play events. In an IGN interview, Miyazaki pointed out that this decision is out of FromSoft's hands, as the company doesn't own the IP and is not at liberty to speak about a port or a sequel.

Hopefully, Sony — who is most likely the company who can make the decision — will acknowledge the huge fan demand for a PC release of and will add it to its growing catalog of titles launching on the platform. For now, only time will tell, but FromSoft fans have plenty to look forward to
