First Cards For Pokémon TCG's New Expansion Reveal Bloodmoon Ursaluna & More

The first cards of the new expansion for have been revealed, showcasing Bloodmoon Ursaluna’ debut in the, as well as a variety of new prints. The tabletop game has embraced the era and has started to transition away from older sets, though several of its expansions are still valid in the Standard format. While the focus is currently on the set and the upcoming release of , details about a new set have emerged.

As reported by , the first cards of a new set were revealed during Japan’s Championship League Fukuoka. The set, in Japan, is called Crimson Haze, though the title it will arrive under in the Western market will change, as it is expected to be combined with another set.

Highlighted on a post made by Serebii on X, two of the revealed cards are Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex in its regular and Special Illustration Rare forms, respectively. This is the first time the creature’s alternative form, currently in-game exclusive to ’s DLC, is portrayed in .

The set also had a few other cards revealed, including one for Scream Tail ex and another for Iron Thorns ex. This seems to show that Paradox Pokémon are not being forgotten in upcoming expansions, even following the release of sets that focus mainly on them, like itself. Applin and Dipplin cards were also revealed for, perhaps hinting at an eventual release of a Hydrapple card, as this creature was not present in.

Perrin is also being featured in a card, along with Kitakami’s Community Center. The Caretaker NPC is also being adapted into a Trainer card for the upcoming set. Of course, while it does seem like is the main theme of the expansion, it is not limited to that. This is represented by the Phione cards being introduced with the Crimson Haze set. The expansion will also get Enhanced Hammer and Lucky Helmet as Trainer cards, while Unfair Stamp shows up as a new ACE SPEC card in .
