February 29 is Going to Be a Big Day for Honkai Impact 3rd Fans

February 29 is set to be an exciting day for fans of Honkai Impact 3rd with HoYoverse gearing up to launch its massive Part 2 update, bringing a plethora of new content to the game. While Genshin Impact has easily been the biggest success for the Chinese developer, the sci-fi RPG has stood the test of time for HoYoverse. Honkai Impact 3rd celebrated its 7th anniversary in China last October, revealing the major Part 2 update coming in early 2024. Now, HoYoverse is preparing to finally debut the game's biggest update yet.

Honkai Impact 3rd's «Part 2» is set to feature a plethora of game-changing updates, including a new story, new cast members, and upgrades to the game's combat. The story of Part 2 will shift from its Earth setting and characters like Kiana Kaslana and Raiden Mei to Mars, bringing in an entirely new cast of starring characters. HoYoverse also revealed that the combat of Honkai Impact 3rd is getting a major overhaul, with the party-based action RPG taking a «three-dimensional approach» to its combat. Now, fans finally know when they'll be able to dive into the major update.

HoYoverse recently announced the official release date for Honkai Impact 3rd's Part 2 update during its «Head to Mars» Special Program. The Part 2 update is set to officially launch later this week, debuting on February 29. Promotional trailers and videos within the Special Program showed off more of the colorful and vibrant environments on Mars, teasing several new characters coming to Honkai Impact 3rd. The program also showcased the new «Astral Ring» system, offering special upgrades to the player's team in combat.

Alongside the plethora of massive gameplay updates, Honkai Impact 3rd officially revealed the many rewards players will receive with Part 2. Honkai Impact 3rd will give out a total of 10 Expansion Supply and 10 Focus Supply cards for Honkai Impact 3rd's gacha system, alongside a free S-Rank character.
