Fallout Cosplay Looks Straight From The Wasteland With Everyone’s Favorite Companion

's Sole Survivor is a stalwart figure of hope and persistence in the decaying Commonwealth and one passionate fan is bringing the protagonist to life with an incredible cosplay that also stars everyone's favorite canine companion. In every mainline game, aside from, players begin their post-apocalyptic journey as a Vault Dweller, someone who managed to survive the nuclear devastation of the world by being born into the confines of an underground bunker. The Sole Survivor is different though in that, as the name implies, they're the only person who makes it out of the Vault alive.

Posted to Instagram by cosplay Vampisaurus, their cosplay boasts an incredible amount of detail as the creator intricately recreated an armored version of a Vault-Tec jumpsuit, going so far as to fit a Pip-Boy to their arm and even carry around a massive Plasma Rifle during a scenic photoshoot in an abandoned factory.

Vampisaurus even posed with what looks like a German Shepard that looks shockingly similar to Dogmeat, the players' faithful companion. Photography and editing were handled by Monsters Inside, demonstrating a real skill at capturing images that evoke a sense of the Commonwealth wasteland.

Another aspect of Vampisaurus' cosplay that's striking is the effort that's gone into making their photos look authentically like. One image sees the cosplay crouching down against a hideously oversized Radroach while another sees them admiring a genuine Vault-Tec bobblehead that's sitting on a weather-worn bench. The towering concrete and metal silos also stand out as exquisite set dressing given that the bulk of the world players explore in is littered with decaying industrial plants and rusted factories.
