The 2002 title has been remastered for modern consoles, with new features such as visual enhancements, and an unlockable skin that delivers on a decades-old promise. The title follows former Mandalorian warrior Jango Fett's time as a bounty hunter before his appearance in and explains just why he was chosen to be thetemplate for the clone army, as he proves himself after being hired to defeat the deranged dark Jedi, Komari Vosa, and bring down a cult known as the Bando Gora. It also depicts several key moments, such as how he acquired his iconic ship, Slave 1, which was later inherited by Boba Fett in the series.

The new version has been developed by Aspyr, who has previously worked on remasters and ports such as and the more recent . is a multiplatform release and launched on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, making this the first time the game will be playable on Xbox consoles as it originally launched on PS2 and Nintendo Gamecube in 2002 and skipped Microsoft's console. While most of these versions play the same for the most part, the PS5 version does have some additional features due to its DualSense controller.
