Every Helldivers 2 Terminid Enemy, Ranked By How Annoying They Are

Every Terminid unit in can be an interesting challenge for Helldivers, but some are more annoying than others. can become a difficult game as one takes on higher difficulties, with some nerfs to enemies already patched through after the first weeks since launch. Each enemy has its strengths and weaknesses that make them feel unique from each other, and make it necessary for Helldivers to plan based on the mission and faction.

The Terminid faction currently has eight enemy types that can be encountered in missions. Each one has varying levels of spawn rates, but the higher the difficulty the more likely the challenging insects will come out to fight. Much like the Automatons, the Terminid's armor values vary based on the type, but the majority use medium or light armor that's easier to penetrate. The ones that use heavy armor come with the trade-off of lower mobility, to an extent, to balance them out.

The Terminid Warrior is one of the three most common insects one will face, but they are also the easiest. These bugs come with medium armor covering their head and front body, but the rest are susceptible to any form of damage. Warriors also have average speed, so they will not sneak or catch up to a Helldiver easily. Once at melee range, they become annoying and can kill in swarms, but most Helldivers will be able to dispatch them before this gap can be closed.

Scavengers are the weakest of the Terminids, having no armor, small size, minimal damage output, and easily dispatched by a single bullet. The only aspects they have going for them are their agility and ability to call in Bug Breaches that summon swarms of higher-tier Terminids. This ability to often call in Bug Breaches and complicate missions is what makes them annoying at all, and sneaking past patrols can help save reinforcements. Without it, Scavengers would feel like most modern-day insects, too small and fragile to pose any real threat.
