Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has sold 5 million copies

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has sold 5 million copies in its first week, according to FromSoftware.

The expansion DLC for Elden Ring was released last week to universal critical acclaim. Its 95 Metacritic score makes it the highest scoring DLC ever on the review aggregator’s site.

“To the many who tread the path left by Kindly Miquella, we extend our heartfelt gratitude,” a message on the official Elden Ring account on X reads.

VGC’s Shadow of the Erdtree review called it “a sequel-sized sensation,” saying it’s “an incredible expansion and a worthy follow-up to the generation’s best game”.
