Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Getting Big Upgrade Later This Year

Bandai Namco has announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be getting its PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrade later in May. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was first released in 2016, following the success of its 2015 predecessor. Xenoverse 2 players create their own character to fight off enemies that threaten the Dragon Ball timeline as a member of the Time Patrol. The game has been a big success ever since its release almost eight years ago, selling over 10 million copies worldwide.

Xenoverse 2's nearly decade-long support has contributed to its longevity, and it is still getting free updates and DLC to this day. Bandai Namco revealed that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be getting PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions on May 24, 2024. Like most PS4 and Xbox One games that have been brought over to their successor platforms, Xenoverse 2 has Smart Delivery support. Players are able to transfer save data from their PS4 or Xbox One versions and continue playing after upgrading to the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. Details regarding these upgrade paths and save data transfer instructions will be provided at a later date.

The seventh anniversary update also detailed a 2024 DLC road map for Xenoverse 2, which includes a new story DLC campaign scenario, more playable characters, and other additional content. Xenoverse 2's post-launch momentum isn't slowing down anytime soon, and these new versions will ensure the game is going to keep getting support. While some fans are happy that Xenoverse 2 will be
