Don't Skip These Easily-Missed Star Wars Outlaws Moments

The open world in Massive Entertainment's has so much to see and do when not progressing through Kay Vess' main adventure. From eavesdropping on conversations in packed cantinas for more intel that can lead to treasure, to playing Sabacc or partaking in Speeder races, there's plenty of reason to just wander around the planets between missions, and therefore, there's plenty that players can easily miss first time around if they're racing toward the game's conclusion, and may only discover if they jump back in after the end credits have rolled.

Some of these missed moments tie directly into the happiness of Kay's Merqaal companion, Nix. Throughout the game, Nix rarely leaves Kay's side and can help with a variety of different actions from opening doors to distracting and pickpocketing guards. When not engaged in such activities, however, the duo can share some adorable bonding moments on each of the planets.

Star Wars Outlaws focuses on a grimier, seedier side of the universe with a rich, detailed open world that features both new and legacy characters.

When roaming on a planet, Nix may smell something and begin to run off, and if Kay follows him instead of continuing on her path, he can lead her directly to one of the various food vendors scattered throughout the game. Upon arriving at the vendor and selecting a prompt, Kay and Nix are treated to one of the planets' distinct delicacies from Tatooine's spicy Sketto Chuga to Kijimi's frozen Duradan soup.

After some adorable and unique cutscenes plays out in which the duo eats each meal — which can involve a QTE minigame if players don't toggle it off in the menu — that food is then made available as a «Nix Treat» in his bowl on The Trailblazer. Equipping a certain kind of meal for Nix can unlock specific perks for general gameplay, making it worth checking these vendors out for those who are less fussed with watching a cute bonding moment between Kay and her Merqaal.
