Disney Speedstorm’s next season pass can only be purchased with real money, not earned

Disney Speedstorm‘s next season pass won’t allow players to purchase it using in-game currency, in a break from previous season passes.

In an update outlining the game’s next season, developer Gameloft announced that Golden Passes, (the game’s season pass) will no longer be purchasable with Tokens (the game’s free in-game currency), only as a direct purchase.

The Golden Pass will still have a free tier and a premium tier, however where in the previous season players could earn their way to the premium tier via gameplay, the premium tier will now only be available as a direct purchase for $9.99/€9.99.

A bundle for $19.99/€19.99 which allows players to skip tiers, will also be offered.

Disney Speedstorm players aren’t happy with the change, with many taking to social media to vent their frustration at the change.

“I was saving my tokens for the new season pass
