Diablo 4 Disables Trading In "Massive" Glitch Crackdown

A recent glitch in has caused waves amongst the community as Blizzard has had to step in to prevent the game's economy from falling apart. While the fourth mainline entry in the action RPG franchise has had its fair deal of bugs and glitches, it's ultimately regarded as a success amongst the player base, many of whom were worried about it following the dismal reception of. Unfortunately, some problems are bigger than others and require drastic measures before they spread too far.

Posting on the forums, Blizzard announced that it's disabling trading in as the studio investigates a major bug causing havoc with the system.

The problem in question, as explained by user Mosaic78 on Reddit, is a "" dupe glitch that allows players to create copies of "," an issue that could flood the game with top-tier equipment much too quickly. Without disclosing the exact nature of the glitch, it revolves around spamming the option to open and close one's stash when leaving a group to duplicate the contents.
