Devs Discuss Gigantic's Revival in New Gigantic: Rampage Edition Dev Diary

MOBA hero shooterGigantic received a new lease on life recently with the announcement of its revival as Gigantic: Rampage Edition, a buy-to-play re-release of by its new developer Abstraction Games.

A newly released dev diary featuring both original and new members of the dev team provides some insight into how Gigantic’s return was made possible.

Christopher Chung, co-creator of Gigantic at Motiga, was on-hand for the video and shared his excitement to see the game return to service and for the release of unfinished content and characters the team had been working on prior to Gigantic’s shutdown in 2018.

Launching (once again) on April 9, Gigantic: Rampage Edition will add new features such as crossplay across all platforms, a new ranked system (coming post-launch), quality-of-life updates, as well as previously unreleased content that Motiga never had the opportunity to add to the game during its live service.

Two new characters Roland and the cat-snake like Kajir will also join the roster. The dev diary gives us a look at some of Kajir’s gameplay.

Players interested in the game can wishlist it now on Steam.
