Destiny 2 Starts Dungeons & Dragons Crossover Next Week

Bungie has announced a new Destiny 2 collaboration with Wizards of the Coast's Dungeons & Dragons franchise. As a celebration for D&D's 50th anniversary, starting on June 4 (release day of The Final Shape expansion), Destiny 2 players will find three Faerûn-inspired skins in the Eververse store: the Gold Dragon-themed Apex Draconic set for Titans, the Mind Flayers-themed Flayer’s Dominion set for Warlocks, and the Displacer Beast’s-themed Spectral Displacer set for Hunters.

You can check them out in the brief video embedded below.

Additional cosmetic items available for purchase include the Adventurer’s Pack Bundle, which comes with a Queen of Dragons ship, the Owlbear Chariot, and the Eye Tyrant Ghost Shell. There's also a Bigby’s Fist Finisher and a Natural 20 Emote, which will be randomly rolled each time it is used. Out of the game, the Bungie Store will also offer an Eye Tyrant Beholder Ghost Shell vinyl figure inspired by the infamous floating gaze monster from the D&D universe.

This is only the latest D&D 50th anniversary cross-over, following the Dead by Daylight one that goes live on June 3. Destiny 2 is also very used to cross-overs, having previously hosted The Witcher and Mass Effect in the past few months.

Of course, fans of the game are mostly focused on the imminent launch of the next expansion, which will finally bring the current storyline to an end.

Guardians will enter the Traveler in an epic showdown to stop the Witness from calcifying all reality into a nightmarish shape of its twisted design. Players will join the Vanguard and Cayde-6 to journey through The Pale Heart and take on the Witness’s army. Guardians will battle new enemies, traverse surreal landscapes, and use Prismatic powers that blend Light and Darkness.
