Destiny 2 Reveals Ghostbusters Crossover Items

Bungie announces a new collaboration with the Ghostbusters franchise for Destiny 2, introducing new cosmetic items available for purchase at the Eververse Store later this month. Collaborations and crossovers have started to pick up in frequency for Destiny 2, giving players more options with how to personalize their Guardian. While the Destiny series has been no stranger to references or nods to other franchises like Halo and Dark Souls, the first major announcement with a big franchise arrived back in 2022 when Bungie revealed a cross-collaboration event with Fortnite as well asFall Guys.

Since that point, players have seen a steady stream of crossovers come to Destiny 2, including the likes of Assassin's Creed, The Witcher, and most recently, cosmetic items based on BioWare's popular Mass Effect sci-fi RPG franchise. Since being acquired by Sony in 2022, Destiny 2 players have seen a rise in first party IP collaborations, with various PlayStation franchises like The Last of Us, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and more getting featured armor sets and other gear added to the Eververse store. It now appears that Bungie is branching out from first party games to include Sony films as well.

While it may not have been a major surprise, since Destiny 2 dataminers uncovered the crossover earlier, Bungie officially revealed new cosmetic items coming to the Eververse store based on the Ghostbusters franchise. The new gear officially arrives in Destiny 2 on March 19, days before Sony's upcoming Ghostbuster Frozen Empire film hits theaters on March 22, so the timing certainly makes a lot of sense.

For now, there's no information on things like price points when it does hit the Destiny 2 Eververse store, though curious fans can likely guess based on previous Assassin's Creed and Witcher collaborations. It's also possible that these items can only be purchased as a bundle instead of individually.
