Destiny 2 Player 'Reverses' Finisher on Tormentor

Tormentors have stood out as one of Destiny 2's strongest and most unique adversaries since their introduction, but a pretty awesome clip making the rounds online shows how one player put the pain on a Tormentor after they managed to escape its Dark Harvest attack during the last moments of an Onslaught game. Though Destiny 2's Tormentors aren't known to appear too frequently throughout the game, these monstrous enemies have made a much more notable appearance with the Into the Light update and the various new activities it has introduced.

This perhaps isn't too much of a surprise considering that Onslaught, one of the core features of this update, sees Guardians defending their home against waves upon waves of some of the Witness' strongest forces. Tormentors were first introduced in Destiny 2's Lightfall expansion, and until recently, had the majority of their appearances in the game confined to the expansion's campaign and associated raid activity, Root of Nightmares. Aside from their particularly tough armor and ability to suppress the abilities of a Guardian temporarily, what makes Tormentors so dangerous is their tendency to rush individual targets and execute them by grabbing them and rendering them helpless.

This attack, an ability known as Dark Harvest, usually spells the end for an already wounded Guardian. That said, a fan known as iHeisenburger recently shared an awesome moment they captured in the game which shows them defying a Tormentor's lethal embrace and somewhat reversing the attack on them. This occurred during the heatwave that sometimes triggers upon the completion of a round in Onslaught in Destiny 2, which challenges players with slaying as many Tormentors as possible within a time limit. The clip itself shows the player managing to escape a Tormentor's grip and executing a finisher of their own, making for an impressively cinematic moment.
