Cyberpunk 2077 Easter Egg Is A Perfect Nod To Keanu Reeves' Most Iconic Character

A Easter egg is a perfect nod to one of Keanu Reeves' best characters. Reeves portrayed one of the major characters in the game, Johnny Silverhand, a Rockerboy who died in 2023 during an assault on Arasaka Tower, but lives on in a prototype Relic in V's head, appearing to comment on actions throughout the game, and even assuming control of V's body at certain points.

No-Worldliness-4979 took to Reddit to share an Easter egg that was added to the game as part of the expansion back in September 2023. The reference in question is a weapons case with a sign reading «FOR MR. WICK», alluding to Keanu Reeves' famous hitman-turned-dog avenger, John Wick. Players can find the Easter egg from the moment they first reach Dogtown if they head to Sofia's weapons shop in the EBM Petrochem Stadium.

It’s worth waiting until Johnny Silverhand is back in the passenger seat rather than Songbird — who is guiding V into the area at the start of — so that players can get a brief, explicit comment from Johnny instead.

As pointed out by zero_emotion777, the actor Keanu Reeves is canon in, and is still alive as of 2077, with the Arch motorcycle company in the game being the same one Reeves owns in real life, with both being founded in 2011. Reeves being canon was confirmed by CD Projekt Red's Senior Quest Designer Patrick Mills, who stated on X around the time of 's original release that a lyric in Run the Jewels' song for the game,, which refers to Reeves is "".

According to Mills, Reeves is "", and Reeves would often be mistaken for Silverhand in the years following the Rockerboy's disappearance.
