is already loaded with morbid details pertaining to the dystopian future of Night City but one fan has discovered one of the most brutal, and it only took them four playthroughs to see it. During the acclaimed expansion, V is tasked with going undercover during their investigation of Songbird and her allegedly traitorous crimes. Posted to Reddit by user Man_Of_The_Banished, the player discovered that during the Birds With Broken Wings quests, just after V receives their face implant that allows them to give up their previous identity, users can walk around the Ripperdoc's office and find their old face.

While many may assume the face implant is simply a plate that sits underneath one's chin or even below the skin of the face, it requires the patient to have their face removed completely. The original face is then preserved in what appears to be a vat of liquid should it ever be needed.

After the release of Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077 is more complete than its ever been, but the game could still use one last feature.

The discovery of V's old face being preserved is a detail that many players will likely miss given how easy it is to overlook.
