Critically-Acclaimed Trilogy of Games Could Be Coming to Xbox Game Pass Soon

A highly rated compilation of platformers could be set to arrive on Game Pass for Xbox and PC players, with rumors hinting at Spyro Reignited Trilogy joining the subscription service. Interestingly, Spyro Reignited Trilogy features remakes of three Spyro games that were released exclusively for the PlayStation.

Since Microsoft's successful completion of the Activision Blizzard deal, it has started bringing some of the company's vast library of games to Game Pass. As recently as last month, subscribers received Diablo 4, a hit RPG owned by Activision Blizzard. Now, there are talks of another popular franchise, Spyro, landing on Game Pass with the rollout of Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been secretly added to the Microsoft Store, suggesting a possible inclusion in the Game Pass library for Xbox and PC in the near future. Popular industry watcher klobrille has acknowledged this speculation and mentioned that Xbox achievements for the platform game are confirmed as well. Moreover, leaker IdleSloth84_ tweeted that the highly popular Spyro game collection could drop on Game Pass as soon as April 16.

A compilation of the original Spyro trilogy, Spyro Reignited Trilogy includes the remakes of Spyro the Dragon (1998), Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage (1999), and Spyro: Year of the Dragon (2000). It was originally released in 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One, before eventually making its way to PC and Switch platforms the next year. With a Game Pass launch seemingly on the agenda, the game could now be set to get a surge of new players nearly six years after release.
