Capcom has released a Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creator tool

Capcom has made a Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creator tool available ahead of the game’s release this month.

Its release was announced during a Capcom showcase on Thursday, which also included a gameplay overview of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and is viewable in full below.

“Starting today players can create and edit their Arisen protagonist and main Pawn in the Dragon Dogma 2 character creator and storage,” said producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi.

“Of course, you’ll be able to transfer the character data to the full version of the game.

“Up to five Arisen and five Pawns can be created. This is the perfect opportunity to prepare for the adventure before the release of the game.

“Furthermore, we are planning to have some of the Pawns created by specific players as official Pawns. Players will be able to hire up to two of these Pawns to aid them on their journey.”

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on March 22, 2024.

The action RPG sequel will be Capcom’s first $70 game, and the company has suggested that future titles may also carry the increased price point.

VGC recently got the chance to play three hours of Dragon’s Dogma 2 and the experience left us wanting more.

“The world is full of life. It’s both an intentionally, and emergently hilarious game, and the range of combat abilities feels vast,” we wrote.

“We didn’t get a great sense of the state of the world and the overarching story, but when it’s this fun to play we’re ready to jump straight back in when the game releases later this month.”
