Call of Duty Season 5 trailer reveals a WWE Operator and cel-shaded maps

Activision has revealed some of the new content coming to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone in Season 5.

Launching on July 24, Season 5 will introduce WWE Operators including Rhea Ripley and cel-shaded multiplayer maps, among other features.

The Season 5 launch trailer, which is viewable below, also shows new multiplayer maps Bait and Yard, plus map variants Toonoxide (Rust) and Celship (Shipment)

Superstore, a popular point of interest from original Warzone map Verdansk, is coming to current map Urzikstan too.

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded launched in late June. The mid-season update introduced a new 6v6 multiplayer map called Incline and the Bit Party Playlist modifier, which features a pixel-art inspired version of Favela.

It was claimed last week that Microsoft is planning to bring Modern Warfare 3 to Xbox Game Pass this month.

The claim was made shortly after the company raised Xbox Game Pass prices and revealed plans to introduce a new subscription tier that doesn’t include day one releases.

Microsoft recently announced that Black Ops 6 will be the first Call of Duty title to launch on the subscription service on day one, when it’s released on October 25, 2024.

Earlier this week, Activision confirmed the Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta dates.
