Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Player Spots Neat Connection to a Classic Map in Das Haus

An eagle-eyed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 player has noticed a cool connection to the classic map Highrise in the new version of Das Haus. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 recently added Das Haus to the game, after it first appeared in Vanguard back in 2021.

Over the years, the Call of Duty games have commonly referenced their own history via a series of interesting Easter eggs and hidden secrets for players to find. These are often direct allusions to previous games, such as the OG MW2 campaign reference discovered in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This offers a great new way for players to interact with the maps beyond just shooting at and killing other players, as it's never quite clear when all the Easter eggs have been discovered on any given map.

This recent discovery was made by user DD4114 on Reddit, who pointed out that by looking out of the map to the northeast of Das Haus, players can actually see Highrise in the distance. Given that both of these Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 maps take place at the top of skyscrapers, it's certainly a reference that makes a lot of sense. Others in the thread pointed out that these types of Easter eggs make the game world feel more connected, with one player specifying that Terminal and Departures would be good candidates for this sort of reference. Some even suggested that being able to view gunfights over on Highrise would be another interesting addition, on top of being able to see it.

Highrise was first introduced to the Call of Duty series all the way back in 2009's Modern Warfare 2. However, it has been absent from the mainline games since, only appearing in Call of Duty Online and Mobile. Considering how many great maps have been remade from previous titles, it's unclear why it took 14 years to make a return, but players are happy to have it back. Even Das Haus itself only took just over two years to return; it was recently re-added as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded, but its first
