Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Won’t Actually Take Up Over 300 GB of Storage Promises Activision

The Call of Duty franchise has become rather notorious in recent years for gobbling up unreasonable amounts of storage, which is particularly frustrating on current-gen consoles with limited SSD space. The sizes as shown include the full installations of Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Warzone and all relevant content packs, including all localized languages combined which is not representative of a typical player install experience.

Players will be able to download Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at launch without downloading any other Call of Duty titles or all of the language packs . The actual estimation of the Black Ops 6 file size will be available closer to launch.”

As for how big Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will actually be, that remains to be seen, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and III “only” require about 150 GB apiece to play if you strip them right down and don’t install Warzone, DLC, other games, ect. Interestingly, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will also be utilizing cloud-based texture streaming,
