Baldur's Gate 3 Voice Actor Under Fire for Following Problematic Social Media Accounts

Frazer Blaxland, the actor who portrays Dammon in Baldur’s Gate 3, is under fire after fans discovered he was following accounts and liking posts that expressed anti-LGBTQ and Palestine sentiments. Backlash from players and colleagues, as well as Blaxland’s own recent actions on social media, suggest the actor may have been fully canceled by Baldur’s Gate 3 and its community.

Dammon is a likable Baldur's Gate 3 NPC known for his expertise in Infernal machines, his friendship with Karlach, and his shop, which is a reliable source of new equipment throughout the game. Other Baldur’s Gate 3 voice actors have made statements about the situation. Neil Newbon, the award-winning Baldur’s Gate 3 actor who portrayed Astarion, condemned Blaxland’s actions in a recent video, which was shared by BG3 fan Minkda on TikTok. An outspoken advocate of the LGBTQ community and detractor of Israel’s military actions, Newbon reaffirmed his stance on the matter, and expressed disgust with Frazer’s own. Shadowheart actress Jen English made a poignant statement of her own alongside her partner on their joint Twitter account, though fans should be aware it contains profanity.

Players are calling for Baldur’s Gate 3 to recast Dammon and Blaxland’s other NPCs in response to the situation. Larian Studios has yet
