Baldur's Gate 3 Reveals Improvements, File Size for Patch 6 Update

Baldur's Gate 3 has revealed even more improvements that fans of Larian's massive RPG can look forward to once Patch 6 drops later this week. Larian has been hyping Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 6 for a week now, teasing fans with what they can expect from the huge update.

Shortly after announcing Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 6, Larian teased that the update would include improvements to kissing animations, new camp idle animations, new Legendary Actions in Honour Mode, and new bug fixes. It then released a video showing Shadowheart's improved kissing animations to tide fans over as they wait for the update. Now Larian has revealed even more about what fans can expect from Patch 6.

Larian has suggested that Baldur's Gate 3 players on PC uninstall and re-download the patch version of the game if they need space. Along with announcing Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 6's file size, Larian also confirmed some quality of life improvements that the update brings to the game. Players are now able to dismiss recruited companions while speaking with the companion they want to replace them with, Shield Bash and Rebuke of the Mighty have been fixed, and automatically triggered dialogue will now prioritize the player's avatar as the main speaker.

Baldur's Gate 3 players will no doubt appreciate these improvements as they should go a long way in making the game even better. Small quality of life improvements like being able to more easily swap out active BG3 companions can add up and result in a much better game overall. Considering the rave reviews Baldur's Gate 3 earned when it first launched, no one would really have much room to complain if Larian had left it in its release date, so it's commendable the studio has committed itself to continuously improving the game regardless.

There are still some major issues plaguing Baldur's Gate 3 that need fixed, but it's not clear if Patch 6
