Baldur's Gate 3 Gets Another Popular D&D Class Thanks To Fan

may already feature plenty of unique classes for players to enjoy but one fan went a step further by creating one of ' most beloved archetypes for the game. Larian Studios spent years developing its Forgotten Realms RPG so that anyone could complete its sprawling narrative, no matter their character's class, race, or build. While this kind of commitment to balance is no doubt appreciated by the community, those who wanted a little more technology infused with their magic were sorely disappointed to find that such an option doesn't exist.

Fortunately, that's now changed thanks to Nexus Mods user KiderionLykon who shared their fantastic «Artificer Class And All Subclasses» mod which doesn't exactly what it says on the package. This means that players can elect to make their Tav a character that's deft with their hands and capable of creating all manner of trinkets and gadgets to help solve problems. The subclasses included in the mod are Alchemist, Armorer, Artillerist, and Battle Smith and each comes with special abilities to enhance certain playstyles that may have felt somewhat lacking in the vanilla version of.

Since may lack the in-fiction technology to facilitate Artificers, the mod takes some liberties in terms of representing the class, ensuring that while the flavor may not be there, those who take on the role will feel the mechanic benefits. Perhaps most useful is the Artificer's ability to infuse weapons and armor with magic properties to make them even more powerful yet what's most exciting about the add-on is the ability to play as a Battle Smith. Diving into combat with a faithful robotic companion is always the best solution to a problem that can't be easily solved.
