One of the main aspects of the game is being able to mod it and play different versions. Now, a new mod called transforms into a horror game. The mod was created by Blue Isle Studios, a developer with expertise having developed the popular back in 2012, as well as a series of other horror games.

Posted on the official channel on YouTube, the trailer for the mod showcases the darker aspect of the game, introducing zombie dinosaurs and the hostile world of the Obsidian Isle.

was certified as a premium mod by developer Studio Wildcard. The contents of the horror-based mod can be seen and downloaded from CurseForge. As described by the page, the mod sees that a Blood Moon occurs on every fifth in-game night, increasing the fright with a zombie dinosaur horde. To survive the menace, during regular nights or during the Blood Moon in, players will have to up their game. This can be done by preparing fortifications and crafting weapons to fight the beasts.

Players will have to rely on loot boxes they find around the area and the occasional airdrop with supplies. In addition to the regular threats posed by the dinosaurs on Obsidian Isle, the Survive the Night mod also adds a creature called The Stalker, which is rarely ever seen. It can, however, destroy players if it gets close enough to them, adding extra tension to every inch of exploration on the modded island for – especially at night.
