Apple Fans Should Circle June 10 on Their Calendars

Apple has announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will begin on June 10 this year. WWDC24 will run from June 10 to June 14, with Apple kicking off the week-long conference with a keynote presentation.

While WWDC is typically a stage for debuting operating system updates for iOS, macOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS, Apple did reveal its Vision Pro mixed reality headset at the conference just last summer. The pricey headset launched in February 2024 after captivating the internet just months earlier. The AR and VR-capable headset is certainly a novel piece of tech, but time will tell if the Vision Pro will have legs after the early adopter phase.

In a press release, Apple announced that WWDC24 will run from Monday, June 10, to Friday, June 14. Developers and students will have the opportunity to experience the event in person, but those unable to attend can still enjoy the keynote presentation slated for Monday, June 10. Additionally, Apple will be giving updates and streaming various aspects of the experience on the company's website and YouTube channel.

Apple hasn't hinted much about what fans should expect from the event outside the usual OS updates. That said, Apple hasn't shied away from announcing new products at WWDC events in the past. Not only did the tech giant surprise fans by debuting the Vision Pro last year, but the WWDC event before that saw Apple reveal its M2 chip. There's no telling what could be in store for fans this year outside various OS updates, however, as Apple tends to play its cards close to the chest.

One thing Apple fans might hear a lot about this year is AI. Still, while Apple CEO Tim Cook has talked a bit about AI in the past, the company's plans surrounding the technology remain somewhat shrouded in mystery. That said, Apple is likely to talk about the technology in some capacity as other tech companies like Nvidia have more or less gone all in on AI.
