AMD’s Ryzen 9 9900X CPU Drops Below MSRP In Europe, Down 8% Less Than A Week After Launch

AMD's Ryzen 9 9900X CPU has witnessed a price drop just a week after its launch from European retailers, now selling under its official MSRP.

AMD's Ryzen 9 9900X CPU Is Now Available For As Little As €498 In Europe; Other Ryzen 9000 CPUs Also See Prices Falling Below MSRPs

It won't be wrong to say that AMD's newest Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" CPUs have witnessed a slowed-down sales traction, particularly when you stack it up generationally against the likes of Ryzen 7000 chips which continue to sell much better with the likes of the 7800X3D being the best selling CPU across all major retailers.

Sale figures are completely bottomed for the new AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPUs, especially in Europe, which is why retailers across the continent have started to implement a strategic price reduction move in an attempt to garner interest and provide consumers with a price tag that would make the new Zen 5 CPUs justified to buy.

Several German resellers, along with Austrian outlets, have reduced the price of AMD's Ryzen 9 9900X down to €499, implementing up to 8% discounts from the official MSRP. Overall, discounts have been widespread across European marketplaces, with the average price figure revolving around €499-€549. Germany's largest retailer Mindfactory was responsible for listing AMD's Ryzen 9 9900X as the cheapest in the region for now, with other outlets following the price cut trend as well.

And it's not just the Ryzen 9 9900X, other CPUs within the lineup are also seeing prices falling below MSRP at EU retailers with the Ryzen 7 9700X down by -5.3%, Ryzen 9 9950X down by -1.5% and the Ryzen 5 9600X down by -3.3%.
