Adorable Overwatch 2 Skin Concept Turns Wrecking Ball Into a Villain From The Incredibles

One Overwatch 2 player has come up with a cute take on tank character Wrecking Ball based on Disney's The Incredibles movies. Thanks to developer Blizzard's penchant for releasing all sorts of nice skins for the game's heroes, many fans also feel generally very inspired to come up with their own creative Overwatch looks based on other franchises.

Overwatch 2 officially released in August 2023 after around 10 months in early access, and new content and updates for the game have been releasing at a steady pace, making for a healthy player base. One thing players can rely on Blizzard to keep giving them is new cosmetics, with character and weapon skins rolling out almost every month to satisfy those who want to fully personalize their favorite heroes.

Redditor SeboTattoo, who likes to design their own crossover Overwatch skins, recently uploaded a concept for Wrecking Ball that pays homage to the popular villain Syndrome from The Incredibles. The hamster itself is dressed up in Syndrome's familiar black-and-white costume and even has his iconic coiffed red hair, while its spider robot is painted in black to resemble his fearsome Omnidroid. In the movie, Syndrome turns out to be protagonist Mr. Incredible's former aspiring sidekick, whom he rejects, resulting in the boy turning bitter and becoming a supervillain.

SeboTattoo has also posted other Disney-inspired skin concepts, using characters from beloved franchises such as Toy Story and Ratatouille. Meanwhile, other fans have drawn inspiration from various popular media and game franchises to create, for example, a skin for Wrecking Ball based on Kratos from God of War. Thanks to the diversity of the Overwatch hero roster, there are endless possibilities for references to characters from other IPs.
