ACNH Players Rally Together To Return Lost Animal Crossing Island Back To Its Owner

players are banding together to return a Nintendo Switch to its rightful owner. It is extremely easy to sink hundreds of hours into an game, from fishing, farming, painting, and building, and actively encourages players to visit each other's islands and see their creations firsthand through a wealth of social features.

These social features may play a part in returning a lost Nintendo Switch to its owner, as Redditor Shikkakku took to the r/AnimalCrossing Subreddit to report the missing console, which was lost at Union Station in Toronto, ON, Canada. The Switch reportedly had an active game of open with a few hundred hours played.

Shikkakku attempted to use the game's social features to contact the player's best friends and determine a Facebook ID, which they used to message anyone with the same name, but sadly, they haven't had any luck yet. While they did check the «User Settings» section in the player's profile from the Switch's Home menu, this was unfortunately redacted, with only the first few characters available.

Design or theme ideas are useful when planning to restart an Animal Crossing: New Horizons island, and there are many options to choose from.

Other players have rallied together to assist Shikkakku in their search, suggesting contacting Nintendo with the Switch's unique serial number to see if it's been registered to its owner so the company can contact them. This approach has reportedly worked in the past, with windsostrange stating that this has been confirmed on the same Subreddit in the past.

Another, somewhat more creative suggestion from opalmermaid420 suggested seeing if they had YouTube installed on their Switch, and typing a message into the search bar that they may find in their search history. While this would have been an extremely creative way to secretly message someone, sadly, Shikkakku confirmed YouTube was not installed on the device.
