A Pastel Pink Joy-Con set will launch alongside Princess Peach Showtime

Nintendo has announced plans to launch a new Pastel Pink Joy-Con set alongside Princess Peach Showtime.

Priced at $79.99, the new Joy-Con set will be available when the Switch game is released on March 22, 2024.

According to a post on Nintendo of America’s X account, the controllers will be available “for a limited time”.

Nintendo’s UK and European X accounts didn’t mention there being any limited availability for the product.

The platform holder launched a line of pastel Joy-Con controllers last June, which includes Pastel Pink/Pastel Yellow and Pastel Purple/Pastel Green combinations.

The upcoming set was announced to coincide with the release of the latest Princess Peach Showtime trailer, which shows off new transformations.

It was already known that Peach can transform into a kung fu fighter, a detective, a pastry chef and a swordfighter.

The new trailer reveals that she can also transform into Ninja Peach and Cowgirl Peach, granting her additional abilities.

In a recent GDC survey, 8% of developers questioned said they were already working on a game for Nintendo’s next, unannounced console.

The 2024 GDC State of the Game Industry survey asked over 3,000 game developers across indie and AAA studios questions about their work, including which platforms they’re currently creating games for.

For the first time, nearly 250 people said they were working on titles planned for Switch’s successor, which is expected to launch in the second half of 2024.
