A Hogwarts Legacy “Director’s Cut” Version Is Being Developed With Members of the Batman: Arkham Series Development Team

A new version of Hogwarts Legacy is apparently in development, and members of Rocksteady Studios, the studio behind the Batman: Arkham series and the controversial Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, are working on it.

In a new report from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier focused on the development woes of the aforementioned live service game released earlier this year by Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, it's revealed how a "director's cut" version of the open-world game based on the Wizarding World is in the works. No additional information was provided on this new version, so it's not clear how it will differ from the massively successful base version of the game.

Many of the studio’s employees are now helping to develop a new “director’s cut” version of Hogwarts Legacy. At the same time, according to people familiar, the studio leaders are looking to pitch a new single-player game, which would return Rocksteady to its roots.

The reveal of a new version of Hogwarts Legacy is definitely interesting, as the game's final update has just gone live, introducing new features and content, including former PlayStation-exclusive content. Even without these late additions, the game would have been a worthy purchase for all Harry Potter and Wizarding World fans, as highlighted by Chris in his review.

Hogwarts Legacy is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
