A Capcom 40th anniversary range is coming to Uniqlo

A new range of clothing celebrating the 40th anniversary of Capcom is set to come to Uniqlo stores soon.

The range, designed by graphic designer Kosuke Kawamura, will celebrate the Japanese developer’s biggest franchises like Street Fighter and Mega Man.

Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Mega Man, Final Fight, Street Fighter II, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter, and Resident Evil are also represented as part of the range.

“A special UT collection celebrating Capcom’s 40th anniversary of creating many masterpieces that have left their mark on video game history!,” reads a post on the brand’s Instagram announcing the collaboration.

Uniqlo has released many video game-related lines in recent years, with gaming brands like Pokemon, Final Fantasy, and Metal Gear Solid each receiving their own line of graphic t-shirts and hoodies.

The Capcom anniversary line will be available in Uniqlo stores and online starting March 18. Uniqlo notes that the in-store release may vary by region.

Capcom was founded in 1983 by Kenzo Trsujimoto, who also founded I.R.M. Corporation, the company that preceded Capcom. Capcom’s first arcade video game, Vulgus, was released in May 1984.
