'sstory is intricate and amazing to experience, especially with the options that the player is given to influence the path the party takes. However, with a game as massive as in both scale and vision, not everything that could've been an option makes it into the final version. And that means that there are multiple story opportunities that end up being missed. Given the scale of updates regularly receives, though, some of these could be added in the future, if unlikely.

There are multiple points in the story of where Tav (the default name for the player character) could've had additional story options to create more dynamic and fleshed out paths, especially for players taking the evil route. Even with subclasses that are part of, but didn't make it into there would have been unique story opportunities they opened. In other cases, there are opportunities for choices that wouldn't change the overall story of side quests, but could've added details and the chance for interesting dialogue options.

Tav is informed of when Orin has infiltrated their camp, taking the place of a companion and holding the actual companion prisoner at the Temple of Bhaal. Despite knowing that Orin is among their companions, the options for trying to weed her out are limited. It feels like a missed opportunity to see the distrust and disruption that Orin would cause by doing this by not allowing Tav to accuse different companions of being Orin in disguise. This small inclusion would add realism and make the chaos of the situation feel more real.

However, that's no longer the case, since Bhaal has been removed as a cleric deity, but would've beenperfect for an evil playthrough, along with the Death Domain which never made it into from the 5e core rules.
