A Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy's collaboration was just announced, something I am shocked has taken this long to happen

If you asked me to name a handful of major horror videogames, Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy's would undoubtedly be two of the first names to leave my mouth despite never playing either one. The former has cemented itself as one of the most popular asymmetrical multiplayer games, while the latter rewired the brains of teenagers and Twitch streamers alike. Hell, even we scored it 80% in our Five Nights at Freddy's review.

Roguelike hit Balatro can't be sold to any gambling companies or casinos even after its creator dies, because its solo dev is so against that idea they've written it into their will

The solo dev behind the indie roguelike hit Balatro is so against their game "becoming a true gambling game" that they've even made sure that it can't be sold or licensed by any gambling companies or casinos after they die.

Final Fantasy 14 hunter spent 3 days collectively losing their minds trying to spawn a monster with sunglasses, mass crying sessions, and alpacas… only to find out they just needed to wait

S-Rank hunts in Final Fantasy 14 are funny little things. Each S-Rank monster comes with specific spawn conditions, some of which are awfully niche. Want to spawn Armstrong, a monster from Endwalker? Whack on some gear you pick up from a level 46 quest in A Realm Reborn, die in a specific spot and hope he turns up. Spawning Salt and Light requires you to discard items from your inventory 50 times, a painfully tedious process.

Remember when Humble Games said its mass layoffs won't affect devs? Well, one of those devs has turned to Patreon amid fears of losing "critical post-launch support"

In late July when Humble Games confirmed mass layoffs were taking place amid a restructuring, the company assured "operations will continue as normal" and said developers wouldn't be affected. However the studio behind the newly released Metroidvania Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, which was published by Humble Games, is seemingly suggesting otherwise.

Lae'zel's actor shares the 'one and only audition' that got her the role in Baldur's Gate 3, featuring threats, bullying, and more urine drinking than I expected

Can I make a confession? Can I make it even if I'm pretty sure I've said it before, multiple times, on this very website? I can? Great. Lae'zel is my favourite companion from Baldur's Gate 3. Yes, yes, everyone loves Karlach and the fancy vampire boy, but for me? I couldn't go anywhere without dragging my Songun BFFL along for the ride. Much like real life, I just can't get invested in someone if there isn't some implicit threat of violence against my person at all times.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's best minigame will make a grand return in Part 3 of the Remake trilogy with a "revamped or even better version"

While Square Enix cooks up the third and final part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, it's clear that the devs know exactly what fans want, as Rebirth's director has confirmed that the best minigame, Queen's Blood, is getting "revamped" for the next installment.
