Quickly becoming Steam's top-selling game in the US and Sony's most concurrently played game on Steam, the crush of players had a negative impact on Helldivers 2's servers forcing the studio to enter crisis mode to fix backend issues and load.
Arrowhead Game Studios, the studio that developed the recently released Helldivers 2, is planning to expand the size of its team following the shooter's successful launch. The relatively small team of around 100 employees has been trying to address the many issues that have been plaguing its latest release.
Players should expect to see more PC ports of first-party PlayStation titles, as Sony is promising an “aggressive” multiplatform strategy going forward.
