Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has debuted to mixed user reviews on Steam.
The Golden Hippopotamus in is a minor boss but a challenging enemy nonetheless. Found guarding the Legacy Dungeon of the Shadow Keep, you will need to defeat the beast in order to gain access to the rest of the area. The great boss also comes in two phases, so prepare heavily for this fight. Two or three swipes from its jaws will leave you badly hurt and close to death even with high vigor at a character's soft and hard level caps.
The Smithscript Dagger in is a new weapon that came as part of the DLC. It scales with many different aspects and can fit into most builds. While it may not be as flashy as other new weapons, it is still a solid choice, particularly as a secondary weapon.
Although there are a ton of new and exciting bosses in , no one is quite as unique as the Scadutree Avatar, which is more or less a giant sunflower. While that may seem like a joke to the Elden Lords who are walking into this DLC with a chip on their shoulder, this boss fight is no walk in the garden. The Scadutree Avatar boss fight consists of three phases, each proving a tougher challenge than the last.
Everyone is loving Shadow of the Erdtree: We gave it a 95% in our review (higher even than the base game two years ago) and Erdtree has even surpassed The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine as the best-reviewed RPG expansion on Metacritic. Despite all that buzz, it's currently taking a beating in one major metric: Steam reviews.
’s DLC,, contains many difficult bosses, but also introduces new items to make them easier. It should come as no surprise: the newbosses are a major part of 'sDLC, perhaps its greatest selling point. Because both are so expansive, it's impossible to say definitively whether is more difficult than the base game. But it certainly presents an equivalent challenge, with a handful of mandatory and countless optional bosses for players to challenge.
One of the coolest new weapons introduced in 's DLC is the Sacred Dryleaf Arts, a fighting style that allows your character to use martial arts to defeat their enemies. From flying kicks to fast punches, this weapon has long combos that can break through an enemy's defenses. By winning a fighting game-esque duel, you can claim the techniques of this martial art for yourself.
The Blackgaol Knight is the first Great Boss you can face in 's DLC, and it can be a tough boss if you walk in unprepared. However, with a few tips and tricks, it will be much easier to understand his patterns and that willmake a difference between life and death. The reward for fighting him is well worth it, so stay persistent in your pursuits.
