Avowed is the latest game by Obsidian Entertainment, the masterminds behind Pentiment, Grounded, and Fallout: New Vegas. It is a brand-new action role-playing game set in the same world as Pillars of Eternity, where players explore the familiar world of Eora. While still in development, Game Director Carrie Patel took part in an interview at Gamescom 2024 with IGN where she spoke about Avowed's endings. So far, the Avowed possible endings have reached the double digits, giving the game plenty of replayability, especially for the completionists.
Paradox Interactive, the developer behind the highly anticipated Vampire: The Masquerade—Bloodlines 2, has revealed that the RPG has been further delayed into the first half of 2025.
The rumored character known as Rappa in is bound to become every player’s favorite DPS if the leaked information about her kit is proven to be true. Rappa has long been mentioned in leaks, though very little was known about her so far. She is one of the characters expected to arrive in HoYoverse’s hit turn-based RPG in the near future, but she has neither shown up as an NPC in the game nor even had her character model leaked yet. Rappa is much like the new version of Tingyun in in that sense.
The crafting system in is typical for a Triple-A RPG, so having plenty of the rarer but «basic» materials, like silk, will allow you to craft new armor as the situation needs. Each armor set provides unique buffs, and equipping full sets will even give an additional, or stronger, effect when you wear all the pieces. Typically, these buffs apply to the area or fight you're about to enter.
My favorite games showcase of the summer hasn't come from Gamescom or the Summer Game Fest - it's come courtesy of a new Twitter trend that has indie developers showing off the games that they can't afford to platform at these big events.
Blizzard developers have revealed that player feedback surrounding the Vessel of Hatred expansion will influence the whole of Diablo 4.
My experience starts at Gamescom 2023, not this year's iteration. There, I was one of the few who got to attend a closed-door presentation of the upcoming action RPG's then-current build, watching a developer navigate a bustling city. The hero, Kliff, a warrior from a combat-hardened outfit, explored the city and unraveled a complex quest chain simply by donating a coin to a beggar and listening to his story. There wasn't a major prompt — it just happened naturally after the player decided to engage.
