Blizzard released new details about Diablo 4's upcoming expansion, Vessel of Hatred, during today's Xbox event. The biggest thing to know is that it'll be releasing on October 8, 2024. Vessel of Hatred will take players into the jungle of Nahantu, where warriors known as Spiritborn battle demonic threats, and where the scholar Neyrelle will contend with the voices of Mephisto, Lord of Hatred.
Even as someone who's had a lot of fun with the modern run of Assassin's Creed games, I have to admit they've been having a bit of an identity crisis. The common refrain is «Is this series even about stealth anymore?», and certainly most recent major entry Valhalla, essentially an RPG about a towering Viking warrior, felt about as far from the series' origins as you could get. Shorter entry Mirage was in theory a redressing of the balance, though even that felt oddly tentative about its return to Assassin's Creed's sneaky roots.
Lots and lots of jobs in the sky: that's what Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 promises. Don't get me wrong, flying around in full-scale simulation of the entire planet is amazing on its own. But the next iteration of the 30+ year franchise will add some much-needed structure with a bunch of cool-looking jobs you can do in planes, choppers, blimps, hot air balloons, and more.
