Pokémon GO: How To Evolve Clamperl Into Huntail & Gorebyss

Getting Clamperl to evolve into Huntail & Gorebyss in can be a challenge if you're after one of the specific evolutions. It’s easy to think there’s some secret method to control which of the two players can get, like when finding out how to evolve Feebas or how to get every Eevee evolution. However, the truth is that to get each of the evolved Water-types comes down to chance.

There are some essential things to keep in mind for anyone trying to add both of these to their Pokédex. While you might need to earn Candy in large amounts to get Gorebyss & Huntail, there are some important tips you can follow that will make farming much easier.

Clamperl can be Shiny as well, so anyone who wants multicolored variants of each evolution might have to put in a little extra work.

Ferroseed and Ferrothorn are two elusive Steel and Grass type Pokémon that players can find in Pokémon GO. Finding the Shiny variant is much harder.

Clamperl evolves into Huntail or Gorebyss in by spending 50 Clamperl Candies via the «Evolve» option and there is no trick as to which evolution you get. Whichever one you get comes down to random chance and to get both evolutions, you’ll need to keep evolving Clamperls until you get whichever result you’re after.

One way to farm enough Candies to fund this trial and error is to head to watery areas like rivers & lakes where Clamperl spawns more often. Walking buddies in net more of their respective Candy too. Alternatively, you can use Glacial Modules via PokeStops to increase the spawns of Water and Ice-type Pokémon. Be sure to use a Pinap Berry with each encounter you get to double the Candy received.

As a Buddy, Clamperl will net one Candy for every 3 km walked. It's not much, but it might supplement your Clamperl Candy just enough to make it to the 50 needed to evolve.

Clamperl can be
