The Astralis Counter-Strike womens' team has released an open letter to developer Valve, asking for the game to include female skins as a default option in future. The letter was posted by team rifler Josefine Jensen, signed and shared by the other members of the roster (Aurora Lyngdal, Marie Toft, Anja Soelberg and Isabella Ferslev), and reads in part:
Husqvarna is a manufacturer of, among other things, pricey robotic lawn mowers and chainsaws. And it is now preparing, for reasons best known to itself, to beam Doom out to around 30,000 owners of its Husqvarna Automower NERA range.
Nier: Automata is one of those games where the legend keeps growing, and deservedly so. The series began with a flawed 2010 RPG that seemed destined for obscurity, before publisher Square Enix made the wise decision to co-develop sequel Nier: Automata with action specialists PlatinumGames. What resulted remains unique in its looping structure, top-tier customisable combat, unforgettable vistas, and the immaculate vibes at the world's end.

Pop megastar Lady Gaga is the next artist to collaborate with Fortnite, following in the footsteps of the likes of Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, and Eminem. Gaga will be the headliner for Fortnite festival season 2, which runs until April 22 and features a music-themed battle pass to go alongside its iconic figurehead, which features some surprisingly cool rewards including instruments and jam tracks.
Ensemble's Age of Empires 2 released in 1999, and I know of at least one person who thinks gaming never got better than this. They're clearly not alone, either, as this game has proven to have an enormously long tail and, after being supported by the community for most of its existence, got the full-fat remaster treatment it deserved with 2019's Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (developed by Forgotten Worlds under the aegis of the AoE-focused World's Edge studio).
A Youtube channel specialising in Minecraft animations has produced an incredible recreation of the recent Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer using Minecraft assets and Unreal Engine 5. Boranium Art, run by the Miami-based Ray Escobar and three collaborators, cut its teeth with an almost equally impressive recreation of the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer a year ago (and also has a thing for Oppenheimer-via-Minecraft), but this raises the bar and then some.
