Bungie heard the feedback on your favorite activities, so Destiny 2 will be "building on the Coils and the Onslaughts" going forward

Destiny 2 got true loot rain in the beloved Coil activity, and back in January Bungie said it was prepared to make it rain again. Speaking with Edge magazine in a new feature on the making of The Final Shape and the future of Destiny 2, Bungie stresses how positive feedback to activities like the Coil and Onslaught has informed its plans.

As it teases Destiny 2 Year 11 with the codename Frontiers, Bungie talks what's next for its MMO: "We want to get back to expanding our worlds and world-building"

Bungie has said for years that The Final Shape and the end of the Light and Darkness saga won't be the end of Destiny 2, and the farther future of the MMO is slowly coming into focus following the recent tease of Year 11, codenamed Frontiers and set for 2025.

"Elden Ring is really the limit": Hidetaka Miyazaki says he'd be concerned about pushing FromSoftware to make something bigger than its open-world RPG masterwork

FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki says he'd "have my concerns" about pushing the studio to make a game larger than Elden Ring, which already forced him and the team to draw on "every resource and talent that we have access to."

Austin Wood - Katsura Hashino - Nintendo - I finally spoke to the director of the 21-year-old JRPG that kicked my teeth in, and I didn't expect an apology: "Shin Megami Tensei 3 is the hardest game I think I've ever made" - gamesradar.com - Japan - Britain

I finally spoke to the director of the 21-year-old JRPG that kicked my teeth in, and I didn't expect an apology: "Shin Megami Tensei 3 is the hardest game I think I've ever made"

Originally released in 2003 for the PlayStation 2 and then remastered in 2020 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne has developed a reputation for unpredictable, unavoidable, and utterly brutal difficulty spikes, especially on hard mode. Bosses randomly take extra turns, open-world encounters can wipe you before you even get to act, one mistimed debuff or missed attack can spell disaster, and save points can be painfully infrequent. Your party will get blown out at the drop of a hat, and there's often very little – or quite literally nothing – you can do about it.

Austin Wood - I was the first Black Myth: Wukong player at Summer Game Fest to beat this freaky optional boss, and I don't know how I'm gonna fit my ego through the door - gamesradar.com

I was the first Black Myth: Wukong player at Summer Game Fest to beat this freaky optional boss, and I don't know how I'm gonna fit my ego through the door

As part of our Black Myth: Wukong hands-on preview, I found and beat about seven different bosses in the two-hour demo for the upcoming action RPG. It's good! Very good, even. I can't talk about one of the hidden bosses, but I can absolutely talk about one of the optional ones: the Wandering Wight, a towering, big-headed monk described as glowing like aged copper and roaming the mountains in search of something lost. I tell you what, reader, he's lost a lot more now but at least his search is over.

Sounds like the weaker Xbox Series S has struck again: Black Myth Wukong delayed on Xbox until "it meets our quality standards"

Update - June 8: Black Myth: Wukong developer Game Science has confirmed in an FAQ dated June 8 that the Xbox version of the upcoming Soulslike action RPG has indeed been delayed due to quality concerns, which certainly reads like a nice way of saying the Xbox Series S, the weakest system on the platform list, is struggling to run this thing. Here's the developer's comment in full:

Austin Wood - I don't want to alarm Elden Ring players, but I think I found the next Bloodhound's Fang in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, because this sword feels incredible - gamesradar.com

I don't want to alarm Elden Ring players, but I think I found the next Bloodhound's Fang in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, because this sword feels incredible

My Elden Ring DLC hands-on preview session was a three-hour sampling of what Shadow of the Erdtree's Land of Shadow has to offer, and one weapon was glued to my hands for most of it. It's called Milady, one of the new light greatswords in the DLC, and I'm betting my Runes right now that it ends up being one of the most popular weapons in the whole thing, potentially rivaling the famously comfy Bloodhound's Fang curved greatsword from the base game.

Immediately after releasing my new all-time favorite strategy RPG, Japanese juggernaut Vanillaware is hiring for a new action RPG
