Today, it was announced during Nintendo's Indie Direct that Balatro will be receiving its first collaboration with four hit games. The update is completely free and will be released today across all platforms, named Balatro: Friends of Jimbo.
Today, Atari announced its Fatal Run revival, titled Fatal Run 1989. This game was a huge hit globally when it was first released in 1990, and it was available on the Atari 7800 and Atari 2600. Fatal Run 2089 is set for a 2025 release on Steam, Epic, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
It's not long until the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta is available, with Early Access being available to those who pre-ordered the game and Game Pass subscribers accessing the Early Access period between August 30 and September 4. However, those who don't fit that criteria will be able to access the Open Beta, which is available on September 6 through September 9. In an interview with members of the Iron Lords Podcast, Matt Hansen, Art Director, and Ryan Warden, Production Director, sat down to talk about Avowed and what players can expect from the game. One of the most surprising things from the interview was that their target during development for Avowed was 30 FPS across the board. Considering Avowed is a first-person action RPG, this number surprises quite a few people. While many are defending their statement, saying that you don't necessarily need 60 FPS for a game like this, some wholeheartedly believe that 60 FPS should be the bare minimum.
