New Pokémon TCG Cards Leak Is Great News For Fans Of The Gen 8 Games

More new cards are trickling in from the upcoming set, and the newest addition has the community buzzing with excitement. The card is one of a number of brand-new entries coming to the TCG soon. It will join other dragon-themed mons in the Japanese set, which will be called in the West.

The new card, revealed by, introduces the Blast Turtle Pokémon, Turtonator. The spiky turtle Pokémon was introduced in Generation 7 and has appeared in Pokémon Sun and Moon, as well as Sword and Shield.

It will be a powerful addition to any team for its ability Burn to a Crisp, which discards an Energy card from the opponent's Active Pokémon ex. Turtonator also sports the powerful Steaming Stomp attack, which deals out 100 damage. The Pokémon has no weakness or resistance, and has 120 HP.

Turtonator was revealed alongside Iron Crown, a Metal-type Pokémon that can do up to 120 damage, depending on how many Pokémon the opponent has benched. Both cards are a hit with the community thanks to their colorful and eye-catching design and art. Iron Crown's appeal is its awesome futuristic design, with art that highlights its fierce nature. Its strong attacks and Metal type make it a popular choice for GLC (Gym Leader Challenge) decks.

The newest card reveal from Pokémon TCG stars a Kalos-region trainer and may hint at content from upcoming game Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Turtonator is standing out for a different reason: it's a turtle, and it's adorable. Fans are excited about the stylistic rendering of the spiky-shelled Pokémon, who stands with its back to the player and looking over its shoulder. The vibrant colors and vector-style rendering of the image add to the card's appeal. This isn't the first time Turtonator has shown up in the trading card game, with the latest appearance quite recently in July's set. While this means that the new card entry could have gone to a different Dragon-type, the excellent design of this Turtonator makes up for its inclusion.
