Epic Mickey: How To Beat The Clock Tower (Boss Guide)

The Clock Tower is an early boss in. You will encounter this enemy at the end of Gremlin Village. The boss serves as a slight corruption of and it is up to Mickey to fix things. However, you can choose whether this means repairing the clock or destroying it entirely. Both are viable options, and you may want to try a different route in a future playthrough.

Throughout, you will have two art materials to use: Paint and Thinner. The former heals creatures, while the latter erases them from existence. You will need to make use of both depending on the situation, or challenge yourself to primarily use only one. This interesting feature could also be part of a future title, which creator Warren Spector already has ideas for, but for now, here's how to beat the Clock Tower.

As mentioned earlier, you will need to decide if you prefer the restorative power of Paint or the destructive side of Thinner. Both are viable options early on during. However, if you focus too much on building Thinner, it can lead to a bad ending. Since the Clock Tower boss is so early in the story, it is possible to correct course at any point.

If you want to try a more healing-focused approach, use Paint to target the Clock Tower’s hands. You must fully restore both the left and right to move forward. Once complete, the hand closest to Mickey will lift him up to the Clock Tower’s face. Use Paint again and the Clock Tower will come to its senses. It will stop fighting and allow you to access the next area, Mean Street.

YouTuber Mutch Games opted to do the Paint method for their first playthrough. This can be a bit safer, as the Clock Tower stops unleashing attacks after sufficient healing. For those that prefer a classic happy Disney movie feel, consider Painting.

If you instead want to take a more hostile route, use Thinner to damage the Clock Tower’s hands. When both are stripped of their outer layer, you should dodge its next attack. Instead of hitting Mickey, the hands will shatter on the stage.
