Can You Romance Companions in GreedFall 2: The Dying World?

Romance was a huge feature of GreedFall, and those who are jumping into the second game will be happy to know that romance is still a feature in GreedFall 2: The Dying World. This game features some of the most ambitious role-playing elements ever created by Spiders' the French game developer who also made Steelrising. GreedFall 2: The Dying World takes place three years after the first, focusing on a Teer Fradee native. Some characters from the original game will also be making an appearance throughout.

A Steam post from March 2024 by Spiders discusses all of the new features in Early Access, including the cameos from characters like Mev. As also stated, players will be able to engage in new romances.

Can You Romance in GreedFall 2: The Dying World?

While it's stated above that yes, you can, there are more characters that you will be able to romance, and there will be more options than ever compared to the first game. There are characters for everyone to get to know, but to be able to romance them, you have to dedicate a certain amount of time and effort to the cause.

It should be noted that not all companions have been added to the game yet, and only the first initial set of companions have been added during the Early Access period. For now, there are some of the more common companions you'll come across who join you as you start the game. They will accompany you on your beginning journey and help you in combat as well as complete quests and conversations with other characters in the game.

While it hasn't been stated when additional companions will be added, the Early Access roadmap does suggest that there will be new companions coming in the future, however it doesn't say when these updates will be taking place. Spiders and Nacon have assured those who are interested in the game that the content will come out in regular new releases, with feedback from players being taken into account.
