Black Myth Wukong: Should You Kill The Second Prince Or The King Of Flowing Sands First?

Most boss fights in have a straightforward objective, but there's one encounter in Chapter Two that's a little more complicated. When the Destined One encounters the Second Prince and the King of Flowing Sands, he has to take on both opponents at once, and the order in which he does so affects more than just battle strategy. The game doesn't make it clear in advance, but it's possible to miss out on either a reward or a unique cutscene depending on the approach to the fight.

The Destined One first comes upon the hulking Second Rat Prince and his diminutive father, the King of Flowing Sands in a barren desert courtyard. Here, the King is lecturing his son on the necessity of toughing it out until their master returns. When he catches a whiff of the Destined One, however, the King rejoices in the arrival of fresh meat, and the rodents immediately prepare for combat with a foe that proves to be more of a challenge than they expected.

The most challenging encounters in Black Myth: Wukong can cause a problem for anyone, and a few are uniquely punishing in memorable ways.

It can be tempting to go for the hulking threat of the Second Prince of Flowing Sands before the King, but killing the Second Prince first will lose out on a key reward in . If the Destined One kills the King of Flowing Sands in the encounter, he'll still have to fight the Second Prince after, but he'll receive the Second Rat Prince spirit for doing so. This spirit can briefly stagger foes with a mace to the head, and its passive effect moderately increases attack when the Destined One is low on health.

The Destined One's journey in Black Myth: Wukong sees him overcome plenty of trials, but the ultimate payoff for his adventures might be worth it.
