Astro Bot: How To Defeat Enemies With The Tripcaster (What A Trip Trophy)

To unlock the Platinum Trophy in, players will need to unlock the secret What a Trip! trophy. This trophy involves defeating seven enemies with the Tripcaster, one of the many weapons available to Aloy, the protagonist of and. To unlock this trophy, players must find Aloy in and unlock the -themed Machine Learning level.

Machine Learning unlocks once players defeat the boss in the Feather Cluster, the last and perhaps least impressive of five clusters. Other levels based on PlayStation IP do appear, and they all have secret trophies; for instance, the -themed Apes on the Loose level features a secret Golden Butterfly that can be caught. However, the Tripcaster works quite differently in compared to the games.

Once Astro lands in the level, continue until you encounter special wires electrified with purple energy. These are the Tripwires that Astro can use to defeat enemies. Unlike in the games, Astro can't place his own Tripwires and instead will need to rely on pre-placed wires scattered throughout the level.

Be careful around the Tripwires, as they can also electrocute and hurt Astro, forcing you to restart from the last checkpoint. The lasers can also cut them on Astro's feet if he glides over them. As such, take care not to cut them, as this may prevent the trophy from being unlocked without a reset.

Players need to trick enemies into running into them to defeat enemies with the Tripwires. Unfortunately, this is trickier than it sounds, as the enemies in won't notice Astro if he's standing on the other side of a Tripwire. Instead, players will need to jump over a Tripwire, attracting the attention of any nearby enemies, before running back towards a Tripwire.

If done right, the enemies will hit the Tripwire and become scrap in a single hit. Essentially, players can take advantage of their relatively mindless nature to lure them into traps.
