Embracer Group is Reportedly Selling Off Saber Interactive and Possibly Gearbox Software
Embracer Group gobbled up a lot of studios during its 2020-era spending spree, but perhaps the biggest acquisitions were Saber Interactive (World War Z, many, many ports) and Gearbox Software (Borderlands). It’s clear Embracer had big plans for Saber and Gearbox, as both were spun into entire company divisions with other smaller studios reporting to them, but those plans have changed – Embracer’s fortunes took a turn when a $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia fell through and the company has been desperately cutting costs since. Apparently, this means two of their crown jewels have to go.
Honkai 3rd Impact Part 2 Releases on February 29
Honkai Impact 3rd, HoYoverse’s ARPG, will see the release of its Part 2 update later this week on February 29. The update will send players on an adventure to Mars with a host of new characters, maps, combat, and monsters.

Nintendo’s latest Direct gave us the official announcement of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, the definitive edition of SMT V, which originally released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch back in 2021. With pre-orders now live, Atlus has dropped a new ‘extended cut’ of the announcement trailer as well as new information on pre-order bonus items.
Terminator: Survivors Is an Open World Survival Game Slated for Early Access Launch on October 24
Two years after the project's original announcement, Terminator: Survivors was unveiled during NACON Connect 2024. Developed by NACON Milan, it's an open world survival game based on an original story set in 2009, after the events of the second Terminator film.
Remnant II Finally Gets Crossplay Between PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 Today
One of the keys to truly getting the most out of the dark looter-shooter Remnant II is finding some folks to team up with, but unfortunately, players' ability to do that has been somewhat limited by the fact that the game hasn’t supported crossplay. Well, thankfully, that changes today as Gunfire Games and publisher Gearbox have announced the addition of crossplay to the game.
